| For those pilots not interested in soaring but
wanting a back to basic trike unit with a more power, and a good
climb rate, Lookout Mountain is now offering the Super Skycycle
powered by a Rotax 447 aircraft engine.
The 447 Super Skycycle has a folding mast option
for portability, heavier loading chromoly spring gear suspension,
larger tires and a 5 gallon fuel tank. A number of wings are
available for the craft, depending on what the pilot's preferences
are.
The
trike comes built ready to fly from the factory.
The standard version of the Skycycle which comes
with a 3 gallon fuel tank, folds down in about 5 minutes to a size,
that will easily fit into the back of most small pick up trucks,
vans, on onto SUV roof racks.
It was originally equipped with the small Zenoah
engine, but with that engine no longer available, it is now being
supplied with the Corsair single cylinder two stroke engine. The
Corsair engine is very compact, smooth running, and provides a climb
rate on the Skycycle of up to 450 feet per minute with a 200 pound
pilot on board. Fuel consumption is just under a gallon per hour.
