"It
has a full cover roll bar, with a larger diameter prop guard which allows
the use of a 68 inch prop." The Buckeye Monster also uses a new chute
design which gives it better stability in rough conditions.
The craft is available with two seats and single controls
in the front or it can be used as a two place ultralight trainer when
equipped with the a second set of control systems.
Like all Buckeye ppc's the Monster is a bolt together
kit. The tubing is powder coated, with all the tubing, nuts, bolts and
brackets bagged, labelled and numbered. Using the state of the art
assembly manuals and diagrams the unit should take between 30 and 50 hours
for the average person to assemble, using shop hand tools and a basic set
of wrenches. All tools needed are conveniently listed in the assembly
manual.
Another advantage of the Buckeye PPC is that it is sold to
customers through a dealer network. This ensures local flight training and
building assistance if needed.
Ultralight aviation came about because of the increasing
cost, regulation, and extensive training required in conventional
aviation. PPC's have become the number 1 selling aircraft in the world
because of their "simplicity" of construction and low time flight training
requirements.
