The SportRider uses an all-metal semi-monocoque
blind-riveted airframe with composite cowlings and covers. The
fuselage cockpit area is welded steel tubing for pilot protection
and strength.
The wings and tail are all metal, with
aerodynamically faired struts, and aerodynamically shaped wingtips
for efficiency. An option is available for those wanting to fold the
wings, and the tail section can be removed for storage.
The dual control system is standard stick and
rudder with a joystick, an optional yoke system is also available.
Flaps, trim, and throttle are located on the center column. Push
pull tubes are used for the elevator and ailerons and the rudder
pedals are controlled via cables. Flaps are electric.
The SportRider is uses a tricycle type landing
gear, with steerable a nose wheel, and composite main landing gear.
The main wheels have hydraulic disc brakes, controlled by lever on
the central column.
Standard are AveoMax™ all-digital flight and
engine instruments, full cockpit upholstery and adjustable seats,
with plenty of head and leg room for larger pilots.
Power is supplied by the Rotax 912 80 HP and 912
100 HP engines.
