Web video clip interview on the TL 2000 Sting Carbon two place Sport Plane trainer.
The TL 2000 Sting Carbon is an all composite carbon fibre aircraft manufactured in the Czech Republic.

First introduced in 1994 there are currently over 200 flying world wide with one currently flying in the U.S. and two that are being built by U.S. customers in the Czech Republic under the U.S. amateur built rules.

The craft features side by side seating with what can only describe as a panoramic view from the clear lexan cockpit. Controls are dual stick and rudder with toe brakes on one side.

Power is supplied by the Rotax 4 stroke line of engines from 80 to 115 horsepower. When equipped with the Rotax 100 hp engine the planes cruises along, with a very low noise level at 140 knots on 20 liters about 5 gallons of fuel per hour. Climb rates range from 800 feet per minute at gross to 1200 solo. Stall speed with "splitter flaps" comes in at under 45 mph. For storage the wings can be removed in as little as 10 minutes by two people.

Michael Coates distributor of the craft indicated that one aircraft that has been used in a training environment in Germany currently has over 4500 hours on it.
